I am deeply saddened to say that as of November the 15th Huxton was no longer available for purchase.

Here is an extract from a letter received from the publisher, Red Heart Publishing;

It is with a heavy heart that I announce our intention to close operations of Red Heart Books on November 15, 2015.

We established Red Heart Books LLC in February of 2012 with big dreams of making a difference. We wanted to provide authors and artists with a platform to publish their works to children all over the world.
Alas, with all the effort over the past 43 months, Red Heart Books continues to operate at a loss.

On November 15, 2015, Red Heart Books will cease publishing our current inventory of books on every channel. At that point, all Red Heart Books will be out of print and unavailable digitally.

We greatly appreciate the time and effort you spent collaborating on these great products. It was always our intention to make us mutually successful. I am deeply saddened to deliver this news.

Humbly,
James Hamilton
Chief Editor
Red Heart Books LLC

So what next?

I am not going to give up on Huxton the Hedgehog.

At present I am not writing any new material but instead putting all my effort into hopefully finding a new publishing company that will keep Huxton, Othena and Feo alive.

I really hope that I will be successful after all the wonderful comments and great reviews that the book has had, as well as entertaining children from all around the world.

A very wonderful feeling.
